Monitoring the Vegetation
Seeing the Regeneration
Both islands have 20m x 20m vegetation monitoring plots on them. These were used during the baseline research carried out by the University of Otago in 2005 funded by the Leslie Hutchins Conservation Foundation.
The vegetation plots will be re-surveyed during 2010 or 2011 to assess the changes since the pest eradication has been completed.
